BCC Master Class this Saturday

Swirl colors, layer cakes, split batches, enrich your soap and make a shower whip. Lot to do and learn this Saturday in the Broome Community College Master Soapmaking class. I will do a demo on a shaving soap that includes rich oils and clay, of course, a nice manly blend for a scent. There is still room. Call BCC at 778-5012.

Honey

This delicious gift from nature, full of antioxidants, B vitamins, minerals and amino acids, has been used for centuries as a therapeutic and healing agent. Aside from being a sweet addition to foods, honey's health benefits include healing wounds and softening skin. Honey provides a natural barrier from infection and some swear by its antibiotic properties. You've heard me mention the soft skin of Cleopatra who regularly bathed in milk and honey. This combination of natural ingredients makes a skin moisturizer that keeps your skin silky smooth.

Scrub down - Honey mixed with raw sugar in your soap whip makes an excellent exfoliator.

Norwich BOCES Beginners Unite!

Always enjoy teaching at the DCMOBOCES location. It was always my favorite location with a great staff and convenient culinary room but now it is remodeled and even better. 13 of us will learn, create and enjoy this Saturday.
Looking forward to it.

Small class allows big fun. Milt made merlot wine soap and the rest of us made goat milk with honey. Some vegan base and herbs and essential oil blends so that we had our own science fair.
