What better to do on a Holiday but your hobby.
So many things to catch up on a day off from work, but had to make time for a couple of batches. My acne bar is Comfrey herb, aloe vera gel, superfatted with neem and emu oils, topped off with tea tree oil. This is a great combination to deep heal scars and fight bacteria while keeping the skin soft. Also, got some nice Patchouli essential oil and carefully (the price has spiked) blended it with Sweet Orange and a touch of Clove, added some ground Patchouli herb and birthed another batch of Hippie Heaven. Patchouli is kind to problem skin lesions from eczema. These will be going with some others to the Enchanted Cottage, Vestal Parkway. Check it out. What a great Owego row type store right in Vestal. Look for the purple door and shutters. Have a great week! Ria

Almost Out of Homemade Soap?
Classes are filling up for the Spring (try to think Spring amidst this snow and ice). Beginner soapmaking classes will resupply you with 30 bars. If you want a specific scent besides the Lavender, Lemongrass or Cinnamon offered (I always bring an extra like Relaxation scent), just email or call beforehand.
BCC is on February 23 in Binghamton at BCC, 10 am - 1:00 pm. Cortland is Mar ch 1 at the McAvoy Center, 9 am - noon. Norwich is March 8 at the BOCES, 9 am - noon. Masonville is April 5 at the BOCES, 9 am - noon.
Don't forget, if you need supplies, meeting before or after class saves the drive. Just give me a few days to get your order ready since I pack up for classes the day or two before. Looking forward to seeing your happy faces and having some fun!

Homemade Soapmakers Guild Conference
I promised information on the national soapmaker's conference that is being held in the northeastern U.S. for the first time within practical driving distance. Here is the link to check it out. http://www.soapguild.org/industry/conference2008-program.php
I'm planning on being there the whole time and taking the bus tour to Sun Feather Soaps at the conference end. This conference is going to be the ultimate place to be for novice and experienced soapmakers to learn, grow and network. It's location is in a beautiful area and a culinary institute to top it off. WOW!
I'm so looking forward to it. Let me know if you plan to go so we can get together and talk soap.

Soap Cake Photos
This one is goat's milk oatmeal honey w/almond.
This one is made with beer instead of water and scented with Mayan Gold decorated with hops.
More to come since I'm working on a white cake with pink frosting for a bridal shower scented with Love Spell. Nice.
Here it is!! This is way too much fun.
